👋 Hello from Team Bite


We’ve had a busy and delicious week, and we’re excited to share it with you. From press trips and cocktail tastings to new openings and festive treats, there’s plenty happening across Edinburgh and beyond. Think of this as your friendly catch‑up over Saturday morning coffee.

Where we sipped & savoured

  • We went to Pizza Posto which Anne Pia reviewed earlier this year

  • Also, Mr and Mrs Bite went on two press trips – to The Cairndale in Dumfries and Galloway and to The Lovat in Fort Augustus.

  • Eleonora wrote a small piece on the cocktails at 56 North.

  • Some of us ate salads, smoothies and chapatis at KUBA

Fresh on the Scene

  • The Lost Shore Surf Resort has introduced - tacos, grocery, kitchen and market under the umbrella term: Lost Food

  • Nami the pan Asian restaurant has opened on The Shore at the former site of Mimi's Bakehouse. Our friends at Eating and Waiting to Eat have interviewed Ashley, one of the owners of both Nami and Mimi's, for their podcast

Reservations

  • Bombay Bistro has opened in Bruntsfield and Ruari from the team plans to visit soon.

  • Danish-Japanese restaurant group Sticks’n’Sushi has officially made its debut in Scotland, opening on a corner of George Square bringing sushi, grilled sticks and a late-night bar to the city. Cate Devine is visiting for Bite soon.
