One Week On…

Just when you think the days are stretching and the chill is easing, Scotland reminds you—firmly—that winter isn’t done with us yet.

Luckily, the Bite team has been out gathering plenty of ways to stay cosy in Scotland’s brilliant restaurants, cafés and bars.

Scottish wins at The Leafies A strong showing for Scotland at The Leafies—affectionately known as “the Oscars of the tea world”.

Bacaro 42 A new Venetian wine bar has opened at 42 St Stephen Street, Stockbridge. Hours: Wed–Fri 4pm–11:30pm, Sat 3pm–11:30pm.

Three Churches, Lochwinnoch

Mrs Bite and contributor Liz joined the Renfrewshire Mac ’n’ Cheese Club for a very serious (and very entertaining) evening of cheesy research. A fine example of the classic—paired, naturally, with a generous Shiraz. No review yet… the investigation continues.

Dishoom x Raer Whisky

Breakfast specials at Dishoom followed by a trip to Jackton Distillery to preview Raer’s first single malt, set for full release in September 2026.
