The Harbour Cafe Hamper
By Sharon Wilson One thing to come out of the pandemic is 'good food will travel'. Online gourmet boxes and wine tastings have meant that if you can't go to the restaurant, the restaurant will deliver to you. Our inbox is a constant stream of press releases and as we use social media to promote our website we could easily stuff up your timelines. A little discernment is necessary and this Mother's Day hamper made the cut. It has been created by Great British Menu chef Amy Elles. The Harbour Café at Home delivers a seafood feast to your door for an elegant celebration which includes a lobster sushi canape and crab cakes with saffron mayonnaise. Optional extras include a delicious Picpoul de Pinet French white wine, chocolates, champagne or a dozen oysters to personalise the delivery. Priced at £35 per person, including nationwide delivery. All packaging is compostable or fully recyclable. We were seduced by images which capture the spirit of Fife. Located in the seaside village of Elie The Harbour Cafe serves a winning menu of seafood, wine and nice indulgent puds like Tarta de Santiago and rhubarb and custard. All garnished with a salty sea breeze courtesy of its beach location. The Harbour Cafe reminded my of two of my all time favourite places the Kishorn Seafood Bar and the Loch Leven Seafood Cafe . You get the drift. Hamper Menu Sushi canapé - Californian lobster roll, pickled ginger & wasabi The Harbour Café crab cakes with saffron mayonnaise Sourdough & Edinburgh butter New potatoes & seaweed butter Wild garlic salad Rhubarb, ginger & custard pot Petits fours Gift - Elie seaweed & epsom bath salts
