Tigerlily festive afternoon 'T'.

Tigerlily has launched their festive Afternoon ’T’ with home deliveries continuing on select dates until New Year’s Eve.

Mr. Bite and I collected one for a weekend treat from the George Street venue which is currently decorated like a Narnian winter wonderland.

Chez Bite we lifted the pink cone packaging, and were enchanted with layers of sweet and savoury treats.

Amongst the fairy lights of our tree and fireplace we tasted mini pork and chestnut sausage rolls and fresh crayfish and avocado filled brioche both of which were complemented by thirst-quenching Eteaket Tea.

The emphasis is definitely on sweet treats, though, and some of these were exemplary.

Scones came with teeny pots of Bonne Maman jam and Devon clotted cream which we cut with a knife.

A puff of profiterole bursting with vanilla cream disappeared without a trace. Squidgy meringue garnished a fruity mince pie, and a festive marzipan Bakewell tart was imaginative and well-executed.

What I thought was a standard cupcake was, in fact, a rich sponge with candied peel and thick clementine buttercream.

Bottled cocktails come with simple serving suggestions and Fever-Tree mixers.

Rhubarb, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, comprises Belvedere vodka, tart rhubarb, chai and vanilla but our favourite was the Gingerbread Man; 10yo Glenmorangie, ginger, lemon oil and black cherry tea. The cherry with the whisky is original and works really well. We are looking forward to the Toasted Coconut Old Fashioned, Cream Tea Negroni and the Margarita Bonita. Not to mention Tigerlily Tangerine Sage & Honey Own Label Gin

Packages start from as little as £17.50 for one and £35.00 for two, and you customise with cocktails should you wish.

Great for a last-minute treat for a loved one or for festive self-indulgence.

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to EH1 - EH17 postcodes with the option to pick up in the venue.
