La Garrigue, the Edinburgh restaurant, specialising in Languedoc cuisine, is hosting a Mother’s Day meal March 19th and donating all proceeds to the Turkish earthquake appeal.
If, like me, you feel somewhat powerless over this horrific humanitarian crisis (over 41,000 people are reported to have been killed), here is one way you can help.
The four-course menu is as follows:
Prawn Basquaise with Chorizo and Espelette Pepper on Sour Bread Toast
Cauliflower Soup, Pumpkin Seeds scented with Cumin
Braised Ox Cheek with Red Wine and Mushroom Sauce, Creamy Mash and Seasonal Veg
Petite Gateau St Honore by L'Angelou Patisserie
Two glasses of wine are also included in the price of £50.
Sponsored by Henderson Butcher, Campbell's Prime Meat, Raeburn Fine Wines, Woodlea Farm, Mark Murphy Vegetables and L'Angelou Patisserie
Please call the restaurant on 0131 557 3032 to book your place asap as spaces are limited.
La Garrigue is at 31 Jeffrey Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1DH
