Fion Wines are taking over Indaba Deli at 88 South Clerk Street from Thursday the 14th of July until Sunday the 17th of July. Opening times are from 3 pm to 11 pm.

Fion will be pouring some of their favourite artisanal wines and serving homemade tapas (cooked by them) using Indaba's superb deli goods. The intention is to bring the vibes of an authentic Spanish wine taverna into Edinburgh for a limited time only. They will be listing some of the wines that Fion imports as well as having an interesting collection from emerging regions. Miguel Crunia, Director of Fion told Bite:

"All of Fion's wines are made by small artisans who focus on crafting wines with personality and identity, that tell stories of their people and that transport you to a specific landscape. We prefer natural, biodynamic and organic wines, all of them with a common denominator of a clean, expressive and flawless viticulture."

But the excitement doesn't stop there. Fion has invited a couple of starring guests:

Martin Crane Head Chef at Fhior

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲, head chef at Fhior will be cooking some delicious tapas (nothing fancy, just good food) on Tuesday the 12th from 5 pm. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗼, Edinburgh's legendary sommelier, guests on Sunday the 17th with some of his old Italian vintages (Fion will be serving Italian wines from the 60s, 70s, 80s) to show how fine wine evolved through time. Fion will offer a range of wines by the glass and bottle, as well as having a little retail corner for people to take bottles away with them.

They will also pour wine flights daily working on the basis of "when it's gone, it's gone": Atlantic Wines, Volcanic Wines, and Georgian Wines are the three themes they have chosen to focus on so far.
