Judge Emma Niven said: “It is encouraging to see so much original and delicious fine food, much of which is produced in Scotland. The standard of Scottish produce has improved greatly over the last few years - as seen by the growth of the Speciality Food Show - which allows retailers like us to stock more fine local produce. It's good to see producers not afraid to be launching so many new good products in tough times."

Scottish Grocer Editor Patrick Duffy added: “As well as high quality products the packaging was contemporary and has improved greatly over the years."

Winner Derek Walker from The Wee Tea Company said: “Winning this award has attracted many potential and existing buyers to our stand which is a huge advantage and it's a great endorsement to be awarded in Scotland for Scottish products."

The products were judged on their originality, commercial appeal and value for money. The winners and runners up have logos to use in their marketing materials and the winners received 2 metres of free stand for the 2015 show.
