Afternoon Teas

Apparently, this meal was introduced by the Duchess of Bedford in the mid-1840s to fill the ‘hungry gap’ between luncheon and supper.

An Afternoon Tea is traditionally presented in three tiers, the first has sandwiches, the second scones and the third fancies and cakes.

A range of loose-leaf teas should be available, and a glass of fizz never goes amiss!
